HOW TO ENTER

ONLINE ENTRIES (Quickest Method)

New Teams:
Step 1. Click the ENTER ONLINE link on Soccer7s Home Page
Step 2. Click on NEW MEMBER
Step 3. Complete All Required Fields then click CONTINUE
Step 4. Check your Details are correct then click SUBMIT

You will now be sent an ACTIVATION CODE

Step 5. Go to Soccer7s Home Page
Step 6. Click on SIGN IN
Step 7. Complete USERNAME and PASSWORD (Activation Code)
Step 8. Click on ADD A NEW CLUB
Step 9. Complete Club Details and click on SAVE
Step 10. Choose the appropriate competition from drop down list and click ENTER INTO COMPETITION

YOU HAVE NOW ENTERED

Step 11. Add players now or at any point in the season (remember you need their mobile numbers).
Use your chosen PASSWORD (not activation code next time you sign in).

Existing Teams
Step 1. Click the ENTER ONLINE Link on Soccer7s Home Page

Step 3. Complete USERNAME and PASSWORD
Step 4. Click on MANAGE MY EXISTING CLUBS

COSTS

Total 10 Week Season Fee Macc 7s = £220 (fully payable on match night 1)
Total 10 week Season Fee Congleton 5s (4G) = £230 (fully payable on match night 1)
Referee Fees (All Leagues) = £7 per team per week (payable each week to referee)

Note: Season Fee includes FA Affiliation & Public Liability Insurance for Team.



APPLY FOR TEAM SPONSORSHIP

£60 sponsorship from local pubs is on offer for all teams in the Macclesfield, Congleton & Bollington areas.

All you have to do is agree to have a drink in the pub of your choice after match nights and they will give you £60 sponsorship in return.

MACC BASIC RULES

1) 7-a-side football in Macclesfield.
2) Rolling Substitutions (Unlimited substitutions)
3) "Head" height rule in operation 5ft in Macc (approx. shoulder height)
4) No offsides
5) No sliding or charging tackles
6) All free-kicks direct
7) Roll in “corners” & “throw-ins” (under arm bowling action)
8) No access into penalty area by outfield players
9) No leaving the penalty area from goalkeeper
10) No back pass
11) Referees’ decisions are final
12) Goalkeeper can return ball into play with a kick or under arm bowling action
13) New players need to be registered by captains online. Deadline is 2pm on match days to be on Refs Sheets
14) Players found to give a false name will be banned for 2 matches and their club deducted 1 point


CONGLETON & MACC 3G BASIC RULES

1) 5-a-side football in Congleton & Macc 3G
2) Rolling Substitutions (Unlimited substitutions)
3) "Head" height rule in operation 6ft in Congleton (cross bar height)
4) No offsides
5) No sliding or charging tackles
6) All free-kicks direct
7) Roll in “corners” & “throw-ins” (under arm bowling action)
8) Access into penalty area by outfield players is ALLOWED
9) Goalkeeper can not leave the penalty area.
10) Back passes to goalkeeper are permitted but the goalkeeper must distribute the ball with 1 touch
11) Referees’ decisions are final
12) Goalkeeper can return ball into play with a kick or under arm bowling action
13) New players need to be registered by captains online. Deadline is 2pm on match days to be on Refs Sheets
14) Players found to give a false name will be banned for 2 matches and their club deducted 1 point


DISCIPLINE

1) Bookings receive an automatic 1 match ban; Sending-offs receive an automatic 2 match ban
2) Red cards for abusive and violent behaviour will be REPORTED TO THE FA.
3) Discipline Points:
Booking = 1 pt; Sending Off = 2 points
Players receiving more than 3 disciplinary points will be banned for 8 competition weeks.
Players found guilty of violent acts may also be banned permanently.
Teams receiving over 4 disciplinary points will be deducted a League Point per subsequent point awarded
TEAMS EXCEEDING 7 DISCIPLINE POINTS WILL BE BANNED from the competition permanently.
• Blue card rulings are in force: Any player deemed guilty of dissent ONLY towards a referee will be sin binned for 5 minutes. This player's team will be reduced to 1 less during this 5 minute sin bin. Any further dissent from the same player will lead to a red card and subsequent 2 match ban. Foul and abusive language is a straight red.

Q. Where are Matches played?
A. Macclesfield at Fallibroome Academy & Congleton all year at Eaton Bank Academy

Q. What is Soccer7s?
A. We are football leagues played all year round. 7-a-side in Macclesfield and 5-a-side in Congleton

Q. How many teams will make up the league?
A. In Macclesfield we have between 20 & 24 teams. These teams are usually split into 4 leagues of 6 teams
A. In Congleton we have between 14 & 18 teams who usually play in 3 leagues of 6 teams.

Q. What Standard is each League?
A. We have a standard to suit all teams. All towns have a Premier League which surpasses the quality of any of our rival leagues (just ask around for proof !!) & we have a further lower divisions for those who don't like to play in our the top flight.

Q. For how long will competitions run?
A. 10 weeks of League.

Q. Where can I view the fixtures?
A. All fixtures for the season are available online from this website.

Q. When will my team play their matches?
A. Between 19.00 and 21.00 in Congleton and between 19.00 and 22.00 in Macc (Monday & Thursday nights)

Q. How long is each match ?
A. Teams will play an average of 40 minutes per week. This is usually more though.

Q. Will I have to wait long for the 2nd match ?
A. If you have 2 matches in 1 week they will be back to back. You will not be waiting around for matches.

Q. How many people can I enter as a squad?
A. Soccer7s - minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20. Transfers may be made at any time through the season.

Q. How do I know when the team is playing?
A. Fixture lists are listed on this website. On these lists will be full details of which pitch and at what time each match is played for the whole season.

Q. Can fixtures be arranged around holidays or work schedules?
A. Yes if you tell us before Entry Deadline. Once the season has started matches cannot be re-arranged.

Q. What happens if my team is late for a fixture?
A. For every 5 minutes late a goal will be deducted. The match will also finish at the scheduled time.
If the league is to be a success it relies upon people being punctual.

Q. Do I have to play in a league already?
A. No, this isn't just for pub teams and existing clubs. We are encouraging work colleagues and teams of friends to enter.

Q. What must I wear?
A. Teams are asked to wear the same colour shirts (they need not be matching strips!). Due to COVID no bibs will be issued in the case of teams clashing colours. Teams are expected to bring a 2nd change of kit. Also shin pads are compulsory as are astro boots or trainers in Macc. Football boots/moulds & blades of any description are not permitted on astro pitches in Macc.
In Congleton teams must wear football boots with plastic or rubber moulds. No astro trainers are allowed.
